Am I turning into a yarn snob?

So today I used my gift card to my LYS and it didn't take me long to figure out what I have been missing! I bought my first skeins of Misti Chunky Baby Alpaca and Malabrigo! I was so excited I have already knitted the ruffle scarf I have been dying to have with my baby alpaca yarn. Now to find a pattern I am in love with for my Malabrigo. It's no wonder everyone loves these yarns! I don't want to use anything but now!

What more could I ask for?

This Christmas has definitely been amazing, full of family and friends, but it has just been topped from the fabulous gift I received from my wonderful boyfriend: A basket FULL of knitting supplies! What more could a girl ask for?!

I'm selfish!

So this is my first year knitting gift for people and I realized I was either too ambitious, too selfish, or too pre-occupied with projects OTHER than my chirstmas items because I only have two, and they still have to be finished!

So far, I have knit two berets, a cowl, and some coffee cozies, none of which will be given away as gifts! I scratched my grandmother from my list because she is just too picky and never has a nice thing to say come Christmas morning. I can't see spending all this time on a scarf I will probably love more than she will and then it not be appreciated. The only people that will be recieveing my wonderful handknits this year is my best friend and my sister! Everyone else?....Well they will just have to wait for Valentines day. :)

In the meantime, I plan on knitting a cowl, scarf, hat and mittens for myself. Okay, I admit it...I'm selfish.
